Working with children, young people and who have experienced trauma/mental health difficulties can have a high emotional impact on professionals. Reflective supervision is vital to provide a safe and contained space for staff to reflect more deeply on the nature and challenges of their professional work.
This 2-day training is aimed at professionals who are providing or who wish to provide reflective supervision to other practitioners. It takes the
3 theoretical models (ACEs and Toxic Stress, Neuroscience of Mental Health and Protect Relate Regulate Refect) which underpin TISCUK’s practitioner training and applies them to the field of reflective supervision.
The model enables supervisors to provide a safe, contained, nurturing space for staff to reflect therapeutically, think together psychologically, and explore the emotional demands of their work.
- Neuroscience, psychology and key skills to run reflective supervision sessions effectively.
- How to establish a TISCUK reflective space
- Actively observe a group supervision session
- Actively participate in a group reflective supervision session
- Supervision of supervision
- Practical experience of one-to-one reflective supervision session.
Who it is for:
Professionals wishing to deliver the TISCUK model for reflective supervision to TISCUK Practitioners.
There are two routes for entry:
- TISCUK Practitioners in a senior role with Line Management responsibilities.
- Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist or counsellor/therapist etc. with previous supervision experience (Attendance at TISUK SLT training advised but a pre-course webinar is provided).
If route 2, in addition to course attendance, an aplication to be an accredited TISCUK supervisor will be required.
The criteria for attending the 2 day Reflective Supervision workshop is:
- Delegates attending must have responsibilities for delivering Line Management/Supervision within their role.
- All delegates must have access to their own form of supervision/coaching/reflective space
Cost:
£295 (no VAT) per person or £4000 (no VAT) for commissioned cohorts for up to 24 people
Qualification Received:
CPD Certificate of attendance provided.
COURSE STRUCTURE:
This workshop is delivered over 2 consecutive days live online. Online sessions are live and interactive, so delegates are required to have a camera and microphone on their device and delegates are expected to have their cameras on at all time for the duration of the training. The delivery of content is intensive, and 100% attendance is expected.
